Composition major Evans Daybell-Chambers will perform an indie/folk set.
As an aspiring singer-songwriter, Evans Daybell-Chambers has curated a setlist of raw and heartfelt original songs inspired by his favourite musical stylings. Originally from Creston, BC, Evans’ songwriting has been greatly influenced by the mountains he was raised in and the lives of all those close to him in his upbringing. His aim is to provide listeners with an evening of stories and emotions that are universal to the human experience. He hopes that you will find common truths in his lyrics and solace in his melodies.
Settle in and enjoy a captivating blend of soft and gritty folk music, performed by a trio of some of Selkirk College’s finest musicians. Joined by the contagious rhythmic force of Max Spielman on drums and the passionate, virtuosic melodies of Nathan Blacklock on electric and slide guitar; Evans’ band is sure to provide you with an unforgettable evening. A special thanks to Zyan Fukushima-Rael for mixing the audio.
