In celebration of World Gratitude Day on September 21st, 2021!
Come by the Castlegar or Nelson gym and pick up a free Gratitude Jar!
Limited kits are available and will
be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. The idea is to write down
one thing each day that you are grateful for.
We encourage all Selkirk students and staff to participate in this new habit of thankfulness that will have positive effects on your well-being!
Step 1: Find a jar or box.
Step 2: Decorate the jar or box however you wish. You can wrap hemp string, stickers or add your favorite photos, paint it, or use clear glue and glitter to make it sparkle! Do what ever make it special for you.
Step 3: The most important step! Think of one thing each day you are grateful for! Here are some ideas to help you:
Think of something about your body or health you're grateful for
What's something that you're looking forward to?
What's an accomplishment you're proud of?
Write or meditate about some place you've been grateful for
What have you been given that you're greatful for?
Do this every day write down the things you are grateful for on card stock and fill your special jar!
Step 4: If you want motivation!!! Email a picture of your jar and we will post a collage of all the jars submitted!!
Soon you will be on your path to creating a new habit of thankfulness and feel the positive effects on your over all well-being!!
