Allied Van Lines Scholarship
- Allied Van Lines offers scholarships for students who are completing an undergraduate degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
Bev LaPointe Memorial Scholarship for Women in Trades
- Established by Kootenay Career Development Society in memory of founding Board Chair, Bev Lapointe. She was a strong supporter of job seekers and women working in our community. She was the first woman hired to work from the City of Nelson in parks and public works. Learn more and apply...
British Columbia Environment Industry Association (BCEIA) Scholarship
- The British Columbia Environment Industry Association (BCEIA) offers a $1500 scholarship to be awarded to a student in a college or university undergraduate level program related to environmental studies.
Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)
- Since 1982, CMHA BC has been helping people with mental illness further their pursuit of post-secondary education through our scholarship and bursary programs. We are committed to lowering access barriers and would like to ensure that these scholarships and bursaries are available to anyone in British Columbia with lived experience who is pursuing higher education.Several bursaries are available each year to BC post-secondary students who live with mental illness or addiction.
CCU/CSC John St-Amand / Madeleine Parent Bursary
- The CCU/CSC John St-Armand/Madeleine Parent Bursary will provide annual bursaries of $500 for dependent children of members of the PPWC union for the purpose of furthering their post-secondary education.
Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA)
- The Chartered Professional Accountants' Education Foundation of British Columbia (CPAEF) offers several bursaries ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Check the CPAEF website for applications and deadline dates.
Ch’nook Scholars Program
- Scholars receive $2000.00 for their participation in the program, and are fully funded to attend two Ch’nook Gatherings.
Chinese Government Scholarship and Guangdong Scholarship Programs
- The Chinese government offers scholarships to students from British Columbia to study at a Chinese university. It is a valuable opportunity to gain exposure to Chinese language, culture and business practices, and to develop enriching, life-long relationships.
- The scholarships are provided to graduating secondary school students and students enrolled in post-secondary studies in undergraduate, master's and doctoral degree programs at eligible post-secondary institutions.
Columbia Basin Trust - Training Fee Support
- The Columbia Basin Trust offers the Training Fee Support program which provides up to $800 to go towards tuition for short-term courses that will help students secure immediate employment.

This program also provides 75 per cent of the training costs, up to $7,500 to go toward training costs for specialized training where there is an identified skills shortage and high labour demand in the Columbia Basin. The following have been identified as the eligible specialized skills training areas:
- Class 1 Driver, Heavy Equipment Operator, Prep Cook, Programming and Coding, Office/Business Administration, Forestry Work, Health Care Clerk, Security Guard/Officer, Construction Certificate, and Adventure Tourism Certification.
ECEBC Bursary - Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia
- The Early Childhood Educators of BC offers two bursary programs for BC ECE students and professionals. These programs are designed to increase the number of students entering, re-establishing and graduating from recognized ECE post-secondary programs.
Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship
- The Hans Klinkenberg Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students in the geomatics sciences at technical institutes and community colleges in Canada. Students may apply prior to February 15 of each year as outlined in the description and application form available on the Canadian Institute of Geomatics website. Awards are presented annually in amounts ranging from $500 to $2000. Submissions are judged on the basis of scholastic achievement, recommendations and the personal statement requested. Winners receive the financial award, a certificate of award and a one-year student membership in the Canadian Institute of Geomatics.
James Lee Foundation
- The James Lee Foundation is pleased to offer the James Lee Foundation Scholarship, an annual scholarship up to $10,000 for creative arts students. Graduating students from Selkirk's Music & Technology, Digital Arts, and Kootenay School of the Arts programs would be eligible.
Kootenay Savings - Community Champs Bursaries
- Kootenay Savings is awarding $2,000 Community Champs Bursaries to local Grade 12 and/or post-secondary students who jump at the chance to make a dedicated commitment to enriching the lives of others in their community, show outstanding leadership abilities and make contributions in volunteering, mentoring, community service, affecting positive change, and personal development and growth.
- Six $2,000 bursaries are available for the Kootenay region.
- Students must be a member of Kootenay Savings to be eligible.
- A selection committee reviews all applicants and selects the recipients.

Kyle Levy – Pride in Logging Bursary
- A.F. Timber Co Ltd, is pleased to offer the Kyle Levy - Pride in Logging Bursary, an annual bursary of $1,500 to a student entering the field of Logging or a first or second year full time Forestry or Trade program at a Canadian College, Technical Institute or University.
Lisa Huus Bursary
- The Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is offering the Lisa Huus Bursary which assists youth with disabilities in undertaking or continuing post-secondary education at an accredited institution in British Columbia. Funds can be used for tuition, textbooks, equipment, transportation, residence, and support worker costs.
Neil Muth Memorial Scholarship
- The Neil Muth Memorial Scholarship is for people who have triumphed over adversity and wish to pursue post-secondary education. This scholarship is offered through the Columbia Basin Trust. Search the grants and programs directory for the Neil Muth Memorial Scholarship.
Pisapio Undergraduate Scholarship
- The Pisapio Scholarship supports students from the West Kootenay region who are pursuing an undergraduate degree and who are in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study. Selkirk College students enrolled full-time in the nursing degree program, the GIS degree program or in any academic program with an intention to transfer to complete their degree at another institution are encouraged to apply. SWANA Pacific Chapter Scholarships
- The SWANA Pacific Chapter Scholarships offer a number of scholarships each year to students in programs relevant to solid waste management or environmental protection. Selkirk College's Integrated Environmental Planning program is an eligible program for this scholarship. Awards average $1,500.00.
