Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Kelsey relocated to Nelson in 2014 and has been making the Kootenays home ever since. Kelsey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing her Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership from Carleton University.
Kelsey is a professional fundraiser with an enthusiasm for rural living and a passion for education. She has coordinated a national web technology training program, spearheaded a financial empowerment program for poverty-vulnerable youth, and served as a fund development strategist for several community-based organizations. With her education and experience, she brings a sector-wide view of Canadian philanthropy to the advancement team at Selkirk College.
When she is not in the office, you can find Kelsey mountain biking, skiing or teaching Yoga at the local studio.
