"The practice of Accounting – especially within the new CPA stream – should really be considered ‘applied ethics’. There are so many as-yet uninvented applications for accounting that are part of this emerging world that the opportunities for CPA graduates are almost limitless.” - Naomi Havard, Instructor, School of Business

Naomi’s career path has been varied and interesting: from organic strawberry farming to working in evolution and microbiology, to frontline work with the population on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, her experiences combine to shape her practice as an accountant and instructor.

She’s part of the second cohort of students to graduate from the new CPA stream, Naomi has hands-on, student-centered experience with the process of becoming a CPA under the new requirements.

Naomi is also an advocate for disability rights and is a great resource for students wishing to better understand the accommodations available to make an education truly accessible to all.
