The Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG) is a provincially sponsored assistance program designed to provide grant funding for students enrolled in recognized Adult Basic Education, English-as-a-Second Language, and Adult Special Education programs.
The grant covers direct educational costs such as educational fees, supplies, applicable transportation, and unsubsidized child care costs.
The AUG grant is intended to support students who are pursuing studies in order to move into the workforce or to transition into post-secondary education or training. The AUG grant is designed for low-income students and aligns with the income thresholds for provincial and national student loan programs.

Is the Grant taxable income?
Yes! The College will mail out T4A's to students at the end of February every year - they are not available online. A student will only receive a T4A if the funding they received exceeds $499.
If you think you should have received a T4A, but didn't, contact the Financial Aid Office.
Are Upgrading and Adult Special Education courses eligible for T2202A tuition tax credit?
Unfortunatley, Upgrading and Adult Special Education courses are not eligible for the T2202A tuition tax credit.
