Pathway to Nursing
Do you want to advance your career in health care? The Pathway to Nursing provides prospective students with the courses and study skills needed to apply to Selkirk College’s Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.

In this pathway, you can:
- Complete prerequisite upgrading courses.
- Access focused support in your upgrading courses.
- Connect with a cohort of other prospective practical nursing (PN) students.
- Have support navigating your PN application.
- Build essential study skills that will serve you throughout your schooling.
- Receive a backpack with supplies to help you in the PN program.
- Receive support for your technology needs.
Academic Upgrading & Development is working closely with the Pathway to Nursing program staff to give pathway students the best chance at success in the program.

Funding
On top of free tuition for Academic Upgrading courses, students can also access funding for technology, nursing uniforms, childcare and transportation. During your intake interview, we will review eligibility and support your funding application.
**Participating in the Pathway to Nursing does not guarantee a seat in either the Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.
