The Right Person Through the Right Process
The Selkirk College Board of Governors, with executive search consultants Leaders International, has initiated a search for the college’s next president as Angus Graeme retires after a 30-year career in post secondary. Get the background...
Thank you! Community Consultation
Input is vital to selecting the best candidate. An online questionnaire ran until July 9 asking everyone to weigh on on what traits the next Selkirk College president should possess. We are pleased that the Selkirk community answered this call for input with incredible enthusiasm. Thank you!
Responses were amalgamated to provide a sense of the president's role as recruitment is launched while consultation with stakeholders continues. You can still share your thoughts! Inquiries and feedback are welcome throughout this process:
“The role of college president permeates past what happens on our campuses; it’s a position that extends to many different facets of our communities. We look forward to hearing perspectives and ideas from around our communities so that we get the right person in that position during this critical time.” ~Board of Governors Chair Scott Weatherford
Board of Governors - President's Selection and Succession Policy

The board is responsible for management, administration and control of property, revenue, business and affairs of the college. In practice, the management of the college on a day-to-day basis is done by college administration headed by the president who answers directly to the Board of Governors. View the Policy.
The Board of Governors is working with executive search firm Leaders International.
