Admission Requirements
In order to attend Selkirk College you must meet the admission requirements for the College and for the program you wish to enrol in.
Selkirk College's Admission Requirements:
- Have graduated from a BC Senior Secondary School or equivalent, or
- Be 19 years of age or over at the time of application, or
- Be under 19 years of age but have a written recommendation from your Secondary School Principal

Electrical Apprenticeship Academic Requirements
The following admission requirements are specific to the Electrical Apprenticeship program:
- Indentured in Electrical Apprenticeship
- Active work apprenticeship sponsor
- Successful completion of previous level
Additional Requirements
- A refundable tool deposit of $100 will be required at the start of the program.
- Physically fit, (mobility/lifting) good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, balance, work at heights & in adverse weather.
- An interview (in person or by telephone) with the School Chair or designate may be required before entry to the program. Interview results are not used as criteria for admission.
International Students
International Students (students who are applying to Selkirk College from locations outside of Canada) should follow the application steps required by Selkirk International.
