An election has been called to fill the following positions that offer up a great leadership development opportunity for students.
If you are currently enroled and in good standing you are eligible to run for these positions. As a student member you will also be able to earn co-curricular recognition for your participation. These positions provide good leadership development opportunity for students.
Selkirk College Board
Two students - Applications are encouraged from all Selkirk College campuses and learning centres

For the Board of Governor student members a great first leadership opportunity takes place at the Board of Governors retreat held on the Castlegar campus beginning September 24 at 8:30 am for the full day with a dinner provided in the evening and then continuing on September 25 from 8:30 am until mid afternoon.

Terms of Office for all positions: September 23, 2021 to September 16, 2022 or earlier depending on program end date.
These roles require about 3-4 hours preparation prior to each meeting.
Education Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 4-6 pm
Selkirk College Board of Governors meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 4-7 pm
How to Get Involved
Completed forms must be submitted by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Candidate Application Information form - this includes a Candidate Campaign Statement. This statement should include a short description about yourself and a short description of why you are interested in sitting on one of these committees (up to 200 words). Make sure that your campaign statement is available to upload before you start the form.
Support of Candidate Application Signature form - direct three fellow students to submit their support of candidate forms on your behalf.
All four forms are required for consideration as a complete application package.
