Youth Train in Trades (formerly ACE IT)
What is Youth Train in Trades?
Youth Train in Trades is a dual credit program which means that high school students in Grade 12 can get to work on the Level 1 of technical trades training while still earning credit toward their high school graduation. Offered through British Columbia's Industry Training Authority (ITA), this pathway is the perfect way to learn more about an industry at a younger age. You could be working in your field, learning from experts and earning a paycheque - all before graduation.
Youth Train in Trades (YTT) programs are offered collaboratively between a high school and a post-secondary institution, with funding provided by the ITA for each participating student.
Youth Train in Trades programs are not eligible for student loan funding. Some exceptions apply - please contact Financial Aid for details.
