As Selkirk College’s Sustainability Coordinator, I strive to reduce our ecological footprint while nurturing a culture of sustainability on campus.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in 2013, with a specialization in resource management. I am also a graduate of the Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems program here at Selkirk. I grew up in the Cowichan Valley on southern Vancouver Island, and maintain strong ties to the west coast.
After traveling throughout Europe and living abroad in the Czech Republic, I relocated to the West Kootenays, and now call Nelson home. I enjoy spending my time outdoors exploring this incredible region of British Columbia, and am a member of a local marimba band, playing traditional music from Zimbabwe.
I am passionate about the environment and have a keen interest in initiatives focused on sustainable resource management, conservation, and ecological restoration. I am also dedicated to building and strengthening community.
