Students in the Selkirk College Nursing Program will have access to increased financial support for the next eight years thanks to the generosity of long time Kootenay local Terry Marshall. In honour of his late-aunt Muriel (Ann) Cullen, Marshall has donated $24,000 to establish a bursary fund supporting nursing students studying on the Castlegar Campus.

The pandemic has been unequally challenging for vulnerable populations in the Selkirk College region. As part of a larger Rural Homelessness and COVID-19 project, Nursing Program students contributed to the research by providing survey data that meshed with street nursing outreach work.
