Early Entrance Scholarships
If you apply to Selkirk College by December 8, 2023, you’ll automatically be considered for the Board of Governor’s Early Entrance Scholarship. Awards of $500–$1,250 are available.
Eligibility
To qualify for a Board of Governor's Early Entrance Scholarship, you must:

Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has graduated, or is about to graduate, from secondary school. Graduation must be confirmed by August 2024.

Have a minimum overall 80% grade point average in any English 11 or 12, Math 11 or 12, Science 11 or 12 and Social Studies 11 or 12.

Be applying to Selkirk College for the first time in a full-time* (minimum 80% course load) post-secondary program. Students with a documented disability who are registered with Accessibility Services are eligible at a minimum 40% course load.
Note: Youth Train in Trades or apprenticeship programs are not eligible for entrance scholarships.
Application process

Apply for an eligible post-secondary program at Selkirk College between September and December 8, 2023.

If you receive an acceptance letter (or conditional acceptance letter) from Enrolment Services before December 13, 2023, you will automatically be considered. No other application is required.

Submit your documents according to your conditional acceptance letter.

Award recipients will be notified by email by the end of February 2024.

Award recipients must accept or decline by the requested deadline.

Students who accept the award are required to complete a thank you letter to the donor.
Entrance Scholarships
A variety of scholarships are available to support students registering in full-time studies at Selkirk College for the first time. Awards are based on high academic achievement in select Grade 11 and/or 12 courses. Get up to $2,500!
Eligibility

Application process

Apply for a post-secondary program at Selkirk College. You will be assigned a student number.

Apply for an entrance scholarship between February 15 and March 31.

Award recipients will be notified by email.

Students must confirm whether the award will be accepted or declined by the requested deadline.

Students who accept the award are required to complete a thank you letter to the donor.
