Instructional Strategies Workshop

ISW 103 Instructional Strategies Workshop. This instructional strategies course will be taught in a fun and challenging online environment addressing current topics in teaching and learning. Participants will use strategies and techniques that support the development of self-study skills and self-regulated learning, and spark student learning using a developmental lens. Strategies to engage students in how to think critically, or creatively will be discussed, and the role of metacognition in learning will be explored. Participants will be introduced to a trauma-informed approach when creating a safe classroom environment, and throughout the course participants will practice aligning learning outcomes with learning strategies, in their own courses where applicable, to create a learning environment students can succeed in.
