  • March 20: Last day to withdraw without grade penalty in regular Winter Term
  • March 31: Selkirk College Entrance Award application closes
  • March 31: Selkirk College General Scholarship application closes

April 2026

  • April 3: Good Friday (statutory holiday), college closed
  • April 6: Easter Monday (statutory holiday), college closed
  • April 10: Winter Term instruction ends, most programs
  • April 13: Last day to pay for regular Spring/Summer Term tuition and fees
  • April 13–22: Winter Term exams, consult your program for details
  • April 29–May 1: English level test and orientation for international students (English Language Program)   

May 2026

  • May 1: Orientation for international students (all diploma and associate degree programs)
  • May 4: First day of Spring/Summer Term
  • May 18: Victoria Day (statutory holiday), college closed
  • May 19: Fall/Winter Term registration begins for returning students
  • May 21: Convocation

June 2026

  • June 1: Applications for Spring/Summer 2027 open (domestic/international)
  • June 3: Fall/Winter Term registration begins for new students

  • July 1: Canada Day (statutory holiday), college closed

August 2026

  • August 3: BC Day (statutory holiday), college closed
  • August 4: Start of classes for some programs
  • August 18: Last day to pay for regular Fall Term tuition and fees

  • September 7: Labour Day, Statutory Holiday (college closed)
  • September 8: First day of regular Fall Term instruction
  • September 8: Castlegar Campus - Get Connected (Campus/Services orientation)
  • September 9: Nelson Campuses - Get Connected (Campus/Services orientation)
  • September 14: End of the 100% refund period in regular Fall Term
  • September 15: Selkirk College bursary application opens
  • September 28: End of the 50% refund period in regular Fall Term
  • September 30: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Statutory Holiday (college closed)

October 2026

  • October 1: Applications for Fall 2027 open

  • October 31: Selkirk College bursary application closes
