Selkirk College Transcripts

Selkirk College will be closed from December 24, 2024, to January 2, 2025. Please note any transcript orders placed on December 19 after 12 pm will not be processed until January 2, 2025.

Official transcripts are confidential and can only be released by request of a student or alumni.

If you attended Selkirk College prior to 1979 or Kootenay School of the Arts prior to 2008, email us to ensure archived documents are available.

If you previously attended Selkirk College, a Selkirk College transcript is not a requirement of admissions into a Selkirk College program.

Getting Your Transcripts

Understanding transcripts: Common terms

Transcript: Official listing of course marks and credits received from a post-secondary institution.

Credential: Official document indicating completion of a program, usually: certificate, diploma, or degree. One usually displays this document at home or in their office.

Notation: The final line of your transcript that indicates you have successfully completed. 

Cost of official transcripts

The cost of your transcripts is based on the option you choose. Keep in mind that orders are not processed on statutory holidays or weekends.

Five business days: $10/each

​​​Transcripts are mailed out by regular mail or held for pick-up five business days after the order date.

Two business days: $25/each

Transcript orders are processed with in 48 hours of ordering and placed in the mail. Subject to Canada Post delivery timelines.

​​​​Hold for grades: $10/each

Transcripts are not prepared until all grades from current semester registration are posted on student's record.

Upgrading is exempt from this option.

Graduating student: $10/each

Transcripts are not prepared until program notation/completion has been entered on student record. This may take several weeks after final grades have been entered. Please email @email with any inquiries or for assistance

Added for emailing a transcript, in addition to the cost of the physical transcript. Emailed transcripts are only copies. You must provide the email of the destination. See more in FAQ question 2.

We do not accept requests via phone, email or fax.

Online: Available to current students and alumni. 

Student Record

  • Select "Order Official Transcript" from the menu on the left. Pay with VISA or MasterCard. If you do not know your student number and/or PIN, please email us with your name and date of birth. Your login information will be emailed to you.

In person: Complete a Request for Official Transcript form at one of the campus locations. Pay via debit, cheque, Visa or MasterCard.

Regular mail: Send complete Request for Official Transcript form with cheque or money order to:

Delivery options

Delivery is by Canada Post only. We do not fax or courier.
 

  • Standard mail: Subject to Canada Post delivery timelines.
  • Standard mail and email: Send physical transcript via Canada Post. Email sent to indicated email address on same day of official transcript production.
Tips for getting the correct transcript

Selkirk College is not responsible for incorrect transcript orders. 

Transcripts do not normally include information on professional development (PD) or Community Education & Workplace Training (CEWT) courses, such as BC Electrical, Low Energy, Refrigeration Plant Operator, LIFT courses, Risk Management or any other CEWT course.

Make sure to view your unofficial transcript to see all available courses.

If you see any PD or CEWT courses listed and you wish to have these included on your official transcript, you must check the box "Include Community Education & Workplace Training courses" on the order page in your Student Record.

Credential reprints

Request to receive a duplicate credential at a cost of $25 with an eight to ten weeks processing time.
