Research Intern: Climate Data Analysis

The Selkirk Innovates Advanced Computing team is searching for a new team member to work with climate change data (PCIC-CMIP6), with a particular focus on data in the Columbia Basin. This intern will support a Columbia Basin Trust funded project as well as collaborate with a local Climate-data focused consultancy with new climate data and advance their statistic-based risk-analysis.

Research Intern: Emergency Response & Economic Resilience

The intern will be supporting CFEK with a project that aims to improve capacity for economic responses to disasters in the East Kootenays through 1) building the understanding of current economic response capacity in the East Kootenays, 2) creation of sub-regional response planning in collaboration with community leads, and 3) enhancing regional capacity for economic response and recovery. This is an opportunity for the intern to gain in-depth and applied experience with the delivery of economic development activities.
