"Math and stats play an important role in every scientific field (and many not-so-scientific ones). I love helping students get a better grasp on these useful tools." —Doug Henderson
I’m an instructor of mathematics and statistics in the school of university arts and sciences. I also teach math courses for other schools at the college. I find it important to be hands on in my teaching, to ensure that my students are mastering new concepts themselves.
I got my undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University, and then got a master’s degree from McMaster University in Hamilton (specializing in algebraic number theory). I also obtained a degree in electrical engineering from UBC. My hobbies include golf, crosswords, enjoying the outdoors and reading.
