I studied at the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art and Design, where I received my BFA, majoring in textiles. During my time at ACAD I was awarded many scholarships and awards including the prestigious Board of Governors award; I went on to graduate with distinction in 1998.
Currently, I maintain a full-time studio practice and market my production line of MML textiles at major craft fairs and wholesale shows across the country. I have also shown my work in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
In 2006 I was one of five people to receive a British Columbia Achievement Award (BCAA) for my work in textiles. “The Creative Achievement Awards were established three years ago to recognize established and emerging applied artists and designers.”
