Doris currently teaches Techniques in Wildlife Management for the Recreation Fish and Wildlife Program. She also teaches the restoration field school for Applied Environmental Science & Planning Technology.

Doris is the owner/operator of a consulting company, Seepanee Ecological Consulting, which has specialized in research on rare and endangered wildlife species in British Columbia since 2003.

Doris lives on a nine-acre farm outside of Nelson with her family and multiple farm animals. The Kootenays provide her family with so much—community, recreation and sustainable living.
