Pablo is originally from Honduras, Central America. He has lived in the Kootenays for over 20 years and has taught community education Spanish at Silver King Campus throughout much of that time.
His love of language teaching and learning prompted him to complete the Advanced Diploma in TESOL Program in 2007. Since then, he also has acquired a master's degree in Intercultural and International Communication from Royal Roads University. Between 2011–2012, Pablo taught Intercultural Communication and English Language Skills for Adults courses at Douglas College.
As part of a Selkirk College international partnership, Pablo delivered Business English and IELTS courses at the Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology in Nanjing, China. Pablo also completed the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program. From 2012 to 2017, he taught English language courses in Selkirk International’s English Language Program. Presently, he teaches Intercultural Communication, Peace Studies, and Spanish in the School of University Arts & Sciences, as well as works on intercultural education initiatives in the Teaching & Learning Centre.
