Enjoy a Night of Emerging Musical Talent
The Year End Showcase Concert Series presents students who are preparing to graduate from the Contemporary Music & Technology Program. A blend of original and cover songs from a variety of genres, students perform with peers in a series of shows that are open to the entire community.
Admission is by donation with doors opening at 7 pm. Each student performs a 30-minute set that begins at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited, so show up when doors open to make sure you are able to enjoy a night of emerging talent at the intimate Shambhala Music & Performance Hall on Nelson’s Tenth Street Campus.
This night will feature sets from Kael Koteles and Cameron Low.
Kael Koteles, Alternative Rock
Kael Koteles is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer. His passion is speaking on subjects such as love, loss, friendship and heartbreak through his nostalgic sounds. He draws inspiration from bands including (but not limited to): Stone Temple Pilots, Sum 41 and Millencolin.
Kael has been writing original music since he can remember. Even as a young child, he was expressing himself and his emotions through his songs. Now at 19 years of age, he has a slightly more developed vocabulary, skill level and lots of guitar pedals. His passion for music has only grown over the years, especially the past two years he has spent at Selkirk College.
Kael will be rocking out alongside five incredible musicians including: Finley Kinghorn (guitar), Carson Venne (keys/vocals), Reid Erickson (drums), Aaron Pasacreta (bass) and Zarah Mackinnon (vocals). His high energy showcase will have you out of your seat and humming his hooks on the street.
