Explore Themes of Identity, Cultural Loss and Resilience

The Indian Day School exhibit, developed by the Legacy of Hope Foundation, documents and shares the experiences of Indigenous children who were forced to attend Indian Day Schools. It highlights the distinct and often overlooked realities of the Indian Day School system, including themes of identity, cultural loss and resilience.

Through research-based text, archival photographs and Survivors’ voices, this exhibition raises awareness of the Indian Day School system and supports ongoing learning, reflection and healing.
