Indigenous students and employees are invited to join Dr. Shawn Brigman at the Oxbow for a hands-on gathering focused on the care and use of Kpiƛ̓l̓s, our traditional canoe. Shawn will share demonstrations, stories from his canoe-making journey, and teachings about traditional plant materials, water protection, and salmon restoration.
Enjoy time on the water, learning, sharing, and connecting with community.
Lunch, drinks, and tastings of traditional foods will be provided. Sponsored by I-SPARC.
