Kristen graduated from the University of Victoria/Selkirk College BsN program in 2005 and worked on the surgical unit at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for 10 years before becoming part of the faculty of this program. She currently teaches in years 2 and 3 in the lab, simulation centre and clinical practice settings.
She completed her Masters in Education through UBC in 2020. She currently teaches in all years of the program including nursing theory, skills lab, simulation and nursing practice. Kristen’s areas of interest are critical reflection in nursing education, simulation as pedagogy, and students experiences in learning.
