Mike is an accomplished accountant, manager and entrepreneur. Before joining Selkirk College in 2004, he held a range of senior accounting and finance positions in corporations including Future Shop, McDonalds, Fletcher Challenge and more.
He has been a partner in an accounting firm and owned his own private firm as well. In 2017, he put his management and accounting acumen to the test by launching a craft brewery and brew pub: the Trail Beer Refinery. In addition to his work at the brewery and the college, Mike is also chair of the board of Kootenay Savings Credit Union.
