Experience the Salmon Run

International students are invited to see the incredible spectacle of thousands of spawning salmon as they make their way up the waterways to release their eggs into the water. Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is one of the premier locations to witness this remarkable event, and mid-September is the ideal time to observe it.

Kokanee Creek Park boasts over a kilometre of sandy beaches and features four campgrounds. The park offers a wide range of activities, including an adventure playground, the Nature Center, a spawning channel, a boat launch, a group campsite, a viewing platform, hiking trails and a nearby marina. The park provides paddle rentals for those interested. Please budget extra funds for renting a boat or a stand-up paddleboard.
