Innovative Solutions for Complex Problems

Established in 2020, the Selkirk Technology Access Centre (STAC) is your one-stop shop to access the advanced technologies you need to drive business innovation.

We help you apply new technologies to workflows, engage in aerial data collection, use machine learning and geospatial analysis to understand your data, prototype new designs, reverse engineer critical parts, find innovative solutions and enhance processes.

Contact STAC

The STAC is home to highly specialized equipment valued at over $4 million and highly specialized research teams in the areas of advanced manufacturing, advanced computing, GIS and natural resource management and our celebrated and nationally renowned student internship program.

  • Need to manufacture a prototype with a 3D metal printer? No problem.
  • Need a drone and geospatial expertise? Done.

A Centre for Research and Innovation

The STAC is one of 60 NSERC-funded Technology Access Centres (TACs) across Canada, and one of three located in British Columbia. TACs are specialized applied research and development centres affiliated with colleges that have been funded by NSERC under a highly competitive process.

More than 100 business representatives were on hand the day that NSERC arrived to assess our application, demonstrating a deep need for this critical and cutting-edge service in our region.
