Enjoy an unforgettable evening of voices and vibes featuring two-time JUNO Award-winning jazz vocalist, composer and lyricist Caity Gyorgy, vibraphonist Atley King—an adjunct Selkirk College faculty member from NYC—and the Selkirk College music faculty.

Caity Gyorgy (pronounced “George”) is an internationally recognized two-time JUNO Award-winning Canadian jazz vocalist, composer and lyricist. She has released four albums, three EPs and several standalone singles, and has toured across Canada, the United States, Japan and Mexico. She currently releases music with New York City-based record label La Reserve Records with whom she released both of her JUNO Award-winning records, Now Pronouncing (2021) and Featuring (2022), as well as her JUNO Award-nominated album, You’re Alike, You Two (2023) and her most recent release, Hello! How Are You (2024). 

She has performed and recorded with notable musicians, including Christine Jensen, Emmet Cohen, Pat LaBarbera, Jocelyn Gould, Ira Coleman, Bryn Roberts, Joe LaBarbera and Postmodern Jukebox. 

In addition to being a performing and recording artist, Caity is an avid writer and composes songs in the style of the Great American Songbook. Her compositions have been sung by other vocalists around the world and have won multiple awards, including the Grand Prize in the jazz category of the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She is also a sought-after clinician and is currently on faculty as a vocal jazz instructor at the Yukon Summer Music Camp in Whitehorse, Yukon, and the Interprovincial Music Camp in McKellar, Ontario. 

She is represented by Unlimited Myles in the United States and Céline Peterson globally excluding the United States.

Atley King is recognized as one of Canada's foremost young jazz vibraphonists. He is presently a master's candidate at the Manhattan School of Music, where he continues to refine his craft under the tutelage of prominent figures in the jazz tradition. 

King's diverse musical background, spanning multiple instruments and genres, informs his distinctive approach to the vibraphone.
