Indigenous Educational Protocol Event

Curriculum, Policy & Governance

With consistent and sincere efforts, we will continue to implement systematic change. We aim to deepen all learning by incorporating Indigenous perspectives.

Indigenization Plan

Our Journey Together: Land, Life, Learning: Indigenization Plan 2019–2024 provides a framework for improving participation and success in post-secondary education for Indigenous students, continuing the work of decolonizing the college and attracting more Indigenous faculty and staff.

The plan—which was developed alongside Elders, First Nation and Métis partner governments, students, scholars and community leaders—focuses on five main areas: governance and policy, curricula and programs, student supports and services, employee development and facilities and infrastructure. Dianne Biin, director, Indigenous education & engagement, continues to oversee the plan's progress.
