MSc Geography, BA Geography & Environmental Studies
Bruno-Charles is a geographer, specialized in snow, forestry and agriculture remote sensing.
He completed a BA. in geography and environmental studies from the University of Ottawa and a MSc in geography applied to remote sensing from Sherbrooke University. His research used remote sensing and in-situ measurements to characterize snow accumulation and snow melt in Northern Quebec. He has since worked in the forestry and agricultural industry as a GIS analyst and data scientist.
Bruno-Charles joined Selkirk College in February 2020 as a research assistant, tasked with creating workflows for LiDAR and imagery processing for different research projects. He now works as a remote sensing specialist on vineyards in France and California, and stays with Selkirk College to teach.
Bruno-Charles moved to British Columbia with his family in 2017 to get closer to the mountains. He is an avid skier, rock climber and mountain biker.
