Casting (Relief Sculpture & Mould Making) with Tamara Morgan
Moving to Nelson in 2003 to pursue her dream, Tamara enrolled in the Metal Working Program at Kootenay School of the Arts. Here she discovered her love for sculpture and in the spring of 2006, she graduated from the 3-year program. She decided to settle in Nelson, putting down roots in a forever home in the mountains to raise a family, continuing her journey as an independent artist, crafting primarily custom work. Sophie Slater: Willow Weaving
Sophie Slater is a multidisciplinary textiles artist from the UK, specializing in sewing, weaving, natural dyeing, and crochet. Sophie uses plant dyes to make natural fibers accessories and clothes. She also has a keen interest in recycling textiles into new garments, which can be seen in her quilt coat series.
