Mental wellness is a vital factor in creating and maintaining a healthy campus and community. On January 26 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., Selkirk College will be participating in the national Bell Let’s Talk Day. The event will occur in The Pit at our Castlegar Campus and will feature mental wellness resources from our college and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Although we will be providing a variety of person-to-person resources, there are other ways you can contribute towards our college’s conversation on mental wellness. Five cents will be donated by Bell to mental health initiatives for every text, call, Tweet or TikTok video using the campaign hashtag #BellLetsTalk on this day.
Additionally, we will encourage our college family and community to answer the questions of “What does mental wellness look like?” or “How do you take care of your mental wellness?” by posting to social media or by writing and posting a sticky note onto our “LETS TALK” wall that will be up all day in the Pit.
Our Bell Let's Talk Day event will be consistent with our college COVID-19 safety protocols, which you can view here.
Let’s keep the conversation on mental wellness going on January 26!
