- Thursday, October 14,
- 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
- Castlegar Campus, LAR/14
Everyone is welcome to drop in.
Training will help participants understand the concept of bystander intervention, to be able to identify a continuum of inappropriate sexual behaviour, develop empathy for those who have experienced sexual violence and gain skills to intervene as a bystander. A bystander can play a variety of roles from simply speaking out against a lewd joke to supporting someone who has experienced sexual violence as an ally.
Selkirk College aims to establish a community of responsibility as we work toward a culture change. This workshop is available by arrangement. Ask your instructor to coordinate a training with Healthy Campus!
