The Non-Profit Leadership Series consists of a variety of workshops offered in various locations throughout the West Kootenays. Workshops address key development areas for staff, board member and volunteers involved with non-profit organizations operating within the Columbia Basin Region.
Strategic Planning: Making Plans that Don't Collect Dust
Strategic planning is one of the smartest investments an organization can make; yet, many organizations struggle to make a plan, get sufficient buy-in from board and staff or convert big ideas a planning session generates into solutions. This interactive workshop describes the importance of planning, the roles of board and staff and the elements of a good plan. It also provides tips and tricks to ensure plans are dynamic and don’t sit on shelves collecting dust, and introduces tools to support evaluation, visioning, goal setting, workplan development and organizational sustainability.
The Non-Profit Leadership Series is made possible with funding from Columbia Basin Trust (CBT).
