Alex Birukow

Alex was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved to Trail with his family for his dad to play hockey. He was two-years-old. Alex grew up playing hockey and golf in Trail, he married his wife who was from Nelson and they settled in Castlegar. They now have two grown children.

Alex attended Selkirk College and joined Cominco where he was employed for his entire career.

Alex enjoys travelling, hiking, biking, snowshoeing and golf. He has volunteered his time with minor hockey, soccer, the Red Cross and the Boy Scouts. Alex is an active member of the Rotary Club.
