Celina is an Environmental Scientist who comes to Selkirk College with 8 years of experience in environmental consulting and project management in mine reclamation and closure planning. She has taught ecological courses in the University of Alberta, Carleton University, and Algonquin College. Most recently, she aided in the design and implementation of the Environmental Management and Assessment advanced certificate program at Algonquin College, which entailed placing students in various positions for work integrated learning (WIL) and helping students maximize their career prospects.
She is deeply invested in the local community and is an alumni of Selkirk College, Castlegar campus. Celina is excited to be a connecting force between students and industry. She will work to grow the co-op education placements and further students' career choices.
