I bring over 16 years of vast and varied GIS industry experience to the classroom. My primary goals are to engage learners and to prepare GIS students for their futures; whether it involves continuing education, GIS professional work, or using GIS as a complementary technology within another discipline.
I love my job.
Before coming to Selkirk College, I was fortunate to have worked for large corporations, small consulting companies, provincial and municipal governments. I've developed a diverse background and strong GIS industry knowledge. Staying connected allows me to keep up to date with the ever evolving GIS technology, where "change is the only constant."
I infuse Professional Executive Coaching skills in hopes of creating a genuinely supported learning environment tailored to each unique student.
I’m a wanna-be athlete, love to be outdoors, and can’t stop myself from getting involved in things that are important to me. That is why I have recently embarked on a PhD endeavour where I have proposed to research the socio-economic implications of new legislation to the rural Kootenay region. More information coming as the project unfolds.
