Healthy Feet Series: Assessing and Caring for Your Own Feet

In this Foot Health Series course, the facilitator is a retired foot care nurse and educator. They will focus on preventive care through hands-on exercises discussed in previous Foot Health courses. These include assessing foot pulses, sensation, skin, and nails, as well as basic care of the nails and skin. NOTE: Participants will be asked to volunteer their feet for hands-on exercises and to work in small groups. Those who do not wish to volunteer their feet can still actively participate in the exercises.

This course is part of a "Healthy Feet Series" that will run over the next few semesters. The series is designed to promote foot health for seniors, people with diabetes, and common foot conditions, and will be facilitated by healthcare professionals who will share their unique perspectives on 'Healthy Feet' as it relates to their specialties. The individual courses can be taken in any order.
