October 1st and 2nd, 2009, Lawney Reyes returns to the land of his Sinixt grandfather, Alex Christian, the White Grizzly Bear. Reyes and his family participate in a ceremony which includes the placement of a memorial stone near the Kootenay and Columbia Rivers.
