What Are They?
All instructors expect attendance and punctuality for learning events, many of which are unique and cannot be replicated unless the student has provided a legitimate written explanation well in advance of the event.
Practice Professionalism
Professionalism is emphasized in all learning activities as it is an important element for future employment. Students are expected to be on time, prepared and act respectfully to their peers, instructors, tour guides and guests. Use appropriate language. Be courteous and helpful.
Use of Technology
Technology such as mobile devices, tablets and laptops can be a very helpful part of your education. You will need to access the computer labs at the College or your own devices to complete and submit assignments. Please check with your instructor regarding texting, social media user and internet surfing of a personal nature in class. Use can be distracting to other students and your instructor.
Please remember to check your edu.selkirk.ca email address and take advantage of Selkirk College's Learning Management System called Moodle.
