Instructor, Business Administration, Postgraduate Accounting, Postgraduate Business Management
Craig McDonald is an experienced accountant who has been teaching at Selkirk College since 2018.
Craig has 10 years of industry experience in accounting, including at local organizations like Columbia Power Corporation and Celgar. He received his CPA in 2015, as part of the last graduating class of CMAs. Since 2018, he has been teaching at Selkirk College, where he enjoys teaching students about the beauty of accounting and trying to convert as many management students to the accounting program as he can. He appreciates bringing humour and fun into a sometimes-dull subject, and he loves to hear student’s feedback and questions.
Outside of work, Craig enjoys many of the outdoor activities available in the beautiful Kootenay region. In the summer, he likes to hike, golf, camp and play soccer, and in the winter, he lives to ski, you can find him on Red Mountain every weekend with his wife and two kids. He also enjoys a good craft beer and good food.
Craig has an open-door policy, so if you see him in his office, feel free to say hello.
