Nathaniel graduated with a degree in Viticulture from Charles Sturt University, in Wagga Wagga, Australia, in the early-2000s. After a few years making wine and pruning grapevines, he made a career change to teaching high school science. He has taught in schools in both Australia and Canada, and has been employed by Selkirk College's School of Academic Upgrading & Development since 2009. Nathaniel strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment, and works to help students in Nakusp and area achieve their academic and personal goals.

Outside of work, Nathaniel likes to spend his time in his garden, on his bike, on the ski trails, and in the local lake or hot springs, depending on the season. In addition, he is a volunteer with Arrow Lakes Search and Rescue.

Nathaniel really appreciates his employment at Selkirk College. The college has a great community of supportive colleagues who have a wealth of knowledge on how to best serve our student population.
