We accessed the SMARTS program at STAC to collaborate on a climbing equipment prototype development which involved 3D metal printing, testing and iterating. Localizing iterative prototype development removes time and costs associated with transportation of prototypes for production and testing. This improves time-to-market in a highly competitive field and lowers development costs for our small start-up company.
