Accountability
Keeping track of our progress is an important part of our approach to sustainability. It allows us to understand where we’re at, helps us plan for the future and shows that we’re making a real difference.
There are a few ways that we stay on top of our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Climate Change Accountability Report
As a public sector organization in British Columbia, we complete an annual Climate Change Accountability Report (CCAR), which measures operational greenhouse gas emissions and plans actions to reduce and offset emissions. We report on Scope 1, Scope 2 and partial Scope 3 emissions.

Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS)
We are proud to have earned our second Silver STARS rating in recognition of our sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
STARS measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education.
