JEWL 107 Sparkle and Shine: Introduction to Gem Setting introduces learners to the exciting world of gemstones, and how to incorporate them into jewelry. Learn how to set cabochons, alternative materials and round, facetted stones in a variety of basic settings. Emphasis is placed on small studio appropriate techniques. Where appropriate, scientific and historical context of processes and materials will be discussed.
