BSc, PhD (Dalhousie), BEd (Acadia), Chemistry, NISOD 2006
Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, I developed a love for learning at an early age. While studying for my Ph.D. at Dalhousie University, I was given the opportunity to teach a general chemistry class at nearby Acadia University – and I was “hooked”!
After completing graduate school and teaching at a boarding school in Ontario for two years, I returned to teach at Acadia. During my four years there, I completed an education degree and married a fellow chemistry instructor.
My husband and I moved westward; first to the University of Regina, briefly to McMaster University, and then to British Columbia. For the past nineteen years, I have been happily settled in the West Kootenays, teaching my favorite chemistry courses at Selkirk College.
