I am grateful and elated to be a part of higher learning at Selkirk College. I am a lifelong learner, I believe in the power of education in general, and in this school in particular. At Selkirk all my experiences have come together to create purposeful work. I work with the best team of kind-hearted, passionate people! I see it in the instructors, in my colleagues and in the students.

My journey started on the west coast of Canada. I grew up running around and exploring the forests of the Pacific Northwest. I later studied The Earth, Theatre and Education at The University of British Columbia. After graduation, I took several classes at the local college. I was surprised and delighted by the smaller class sizes, level of instruction and affordability! Go-college-go!

The mountains were calling

After graduation, I lived and played in beautiful Whistler, B.C. I worked as a Teacher all throughout the Sea-to-Sky and as a Coordinator for the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School. After many years in Whistler, I moved on to discover new ways of living and thinking in Montreal. I experienced life in this vibrant city for five years. I worked in film, HR and recruitment, studied Yoga and became a loving mama. Montreal transformed me; but those mountains kept calling…

Home sweet home

I found my way home to the sweet gem of town that is Nelson, B.C. I had been coming to Nelson since I was a child and always loved the eclectic energy and surrounding beauty. For me, Nelson is a little ‘Montreal in the Mountains.’ The dualistic artist and mountain woman in me are satisfied. Here, we get it all: vibrant culture, great restaurants, strong community and a fantastic ski mountain!

I hope to facilitate a positive, smooth and meaningful experience for all our new students. Come play and learn in the mountains!
