Air Brakes Endorsement: Single Unit

To operate vehicles equipped with air brakes on a highway (other than a vehicle defined as a construction vehicle), you must have a BC Driver's licence with an air brake endorsement.

The student training manual is available online. The airbrakes section for pre-reading is Chapter 13, Section 1, pages 355 to 381. Printed copies of this section will be available in class.

Steel-toed footwear is required.

The course is divided into two days. The first day is dedicated to theory, and all students must attend. The second day is for practical instruction and assessment. The class will be split into two groups, with one group attending the practical on Sunday and the other on the following Saturday (to be determined at the first class).

NOTE: ICBC may require an eye exam prior to endorsement of licence.
